I have been looking for these containers for over a year. Bought my original ones in a department store years ago but could not longer find them in the stores. Was searching for other things and came across these. Had to order them!!! Thanks for keeping them in stock. I will be ordering more.
This Pyrex bowl and lid is great for heating one-half a can of soup and then storing the other half in the frig. Any single person should have several of these bowls in their kitchen. They are also wonderful because they are glass and safe to heat in the microwave. I highly recommend them.
These lids can be very difficult to get off. If you have a hot item like a baked apple in it (and this cup is the perfect size for a large baked apple---thus the two stars), along with the apple's hot juices, beware and good luck! When coupled with the knowledge Pyrex is now made by another company and their items are exploding on their cutomers, well, I am tied up in knots until this item is back on its shelf (assuming they don't explode when sitting still in the dark :-| )
We are switching from plastic to glass for food storage. These containers are perfect for a serving of soup and they have vented lids for use in the microwave. Unfortunately the vent covers are not permanently attached to the lid so they can be misplaced.
I'm tired of plastics that absorb odors and goodness knows what they emit when microwaving. Glass is a wonderful choice and this size is perfect.
